About Us

Our Clinic

  • The Healing, Training, and Research Clinic is a service of the Department of Educational Psychology in the College of Education.
  • The Clinic currently offers individual psychological (counseling) and outreach programming services during the fall and spring semesters.
  • The Clinic is designed to train students in counseling practice.
  • All counseling sessions are video-recorded for training purposes and remain confidential.
  • Our student counselors are supervised by departmental faculty members who are licensed mental health professionals. 

Hours of Operation

The clinic is open during the fall and spring semesters on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Our Philosophy

The Counseling Psychology Program (CPP) places a high priority on developing students’ multicultural competence in both research and practice. The clinic adopts a multicultural perspective as outlined by the APA Guidelines on Multicultural Education, Training, Research, Practice, and Organizational Change for Psychologists and the APA Division 17: Society of Counseling Psychology.
